Get both. I'ts called having a daily driver and a weekend/track car. I have a shitty 96 corolla with a ripped out dash (Broken into on prom) and a busted quarterpanel, and I have a 300zx. (Heh Glitch, same thing happened to me, some stupid woman hit me ><) I'm currently working on the ZX as a project car but driving the corolla. Save up, get both. Drive the honda, work on the Skyline. Take it to the track, learn to drive it, invest in it slowely, while beating the crap out of the Honda. Best of both worlds. | ||

2jzgte engines own all i dont care wat u say blah blah blah....but yea get a shitty car first learn how to drive...take it over 100 maybe....but i wouldnt get a fast car as my first car either...i made a mistake by having gto and tottalling it on the highway because i thought i can handle the car...so good luck bud | ||

Ha, told you this would be glitch's threadMy friend's first car was a 1990 Nissan Sentra. 98hp. Beat up. Sounded like a go-kart. Man when I read that I thought of my friend's first car. It was a Toyota All-Track. I never even heard of the thing until he drove into my driveway with it. But it was a pretty chill hatchback. He took the speakers out of the trunk and put them in a box so he could put them on the roof of his car while we were at soccer practice. The thing had rust everywhere, but it was an awesome car. Anyway, when I said go with the skyline, I was basing that off my own choice and forgot to factor in the "new driver" bit. Yes it is true that no matter how good you think you are at driving, the fact remains you're still the new guy. You may have got an A+ in drivers ed, and can recite the rules of the road on command, but that's not the way the road works. It's more like "anything goes as long as the cops don't see it." That being said, there's a lot of idiots out there who'd love a piece of your bumper, and you gotta learn how to stay clear of those fuckers. This can only be done through time on the road and experience. Bottom line, get a car you won't miss to much if something happens to it, hence the Honda. Plus if you wanna get any kind of insurance on your car, you're better off with the Honda. It's 100% unfair but guys get charged way more on insurance than girls (especially those who just got their license). If you get a car with any horsepower whatsoever, they will stick it to you with the insurance. So the Honda Civic is the best option for you |

*SLAP* get the civic. getting the skyline is stupid and your heavy foot is blinding your decision. Honestly, you'd be better off. If you're spending 60 bucks a week more on gas for the skyline, you're spending an extra 3 grand a year for gas. So basically, you're paying more for the car, more for the insurance, and more for the gas. Assuming you somehow repay the loan on the car within the year, that car basically has a price tag that is 5900 dollars more than the civic in the first year alone, plus an additional 3 grand every year after that. |

omfg. 300zx WTFOWNZ... i love that car.. 300hp stock... *drools* As for the 2010 RX8.. no thanks, i dont like the RX8.. ill take the RX7 and throw the new RX8 engine in it but i prefer the styling of the RX7. Id love it even with the LS1 engine conversion alot of guys are doing but i do prefer Rotary. You know guys, i was out with friends tonight and the more i thought of it the more i want that damn skyline... its so god damn sexy to me. What i am going to do is, ill go down to the bank and see how low they can give me of payments and if it fits my budget nicely ill probably wait another months so ill have 3g and then ill be able to get that Skyline. In the mean time i can drive my girlfriends piece of shit Neon since she is afraid of driving.. dont ask BTW angry. you dont have to worry about my driving.. been driving illegally for about 6 years now. Get both. Do it. Cheap insurance on the skyline, as it will have few miles. Not much gas, and you can mod it as you go. Look farther down the road. You can drive the civic for years and years, and if you take care of the skyline, that too. A few grand now isnt going to mean anything in the long run. | ||
