This is my speculation as to what we should do... I honestly think we should do two things in two simple steps. Based on the thread i made about what we should do with FTC, almost everyone agreed to a Classic Rotation server. Now, i do feel this is a great idea, and i want to go through with it... but ima have to listen to my gut here. Usually i never do, but i am going to this time. Before we vote to make any drastic changes to the server, i think we should do what Noskill mentioned a little earlier back. Lets have a scheduled time for many FT'ers to get on office and populate it... to help stimulate traffic to the server. (get new/old regs). We should set up TWO, and i repeat TWO specific times for us to go in. One being early evening, and the other being towards late evening. I would like someone to get in touch with kremit. I want him to move his Warcraft info on the news section down to the second stanza thingy... and put up a new set of information. This is good because unlike our server... our forums gets a lot of traffic. This information is going to address our current problem with FTC. After this, it should list the times everyone should go on to populate. Now im not saying thats the ONLY time you should go on. This is just something i want everyone to strive for. Make time for it if you can. Try and show up to both times if possible. If we can get an average of 8-10 dedicated consistent ppl on at these times... not only will they have fun, but it will DEFINITELY draw more people in. When you join up, make sure you go through your friends list and invite as any people as you can. On another note, i want this information in the news section to also mention... NON-FT'ers ARE VERY WELCOMED TO JOIN IN ON BRINGING BACK FTC! If all else fails, and this doesnt work... then we switch to a Classic Rotation setup instead and hope to go from there. I have a feeling this will work though. It sounds good on paper, but we need dedicated people to pull this off. So choose. Will you bring back our beloved FTC? Or will you give up, be lazy, and let it die? P.S. The times to put... im thinking.... 1st - 5pm Est 2nd - 9pm Est Edited Sun Aug 10 2008, 08:27PM |

How come the people who are always posting about the problem on the forums are never the ones on the server? I few times this week for example I've helped get the server populated to 10-12 people. Glitch I don't mean to call you out but it's not just you. NoSkill keeps making posts emphasizing his point that it's a vicious cycle - low pop means people don't play, which means even lowER pop, and fewer people play until the server spirals down to 0. Ok so you recognize the problem, and then state you're contributing it because "why play on a server with 6 people when I can find another server with 20 people." That's all I'll say in the interest of hindering a flame war before it starts. Anyway, we just need to pick a week - hell maybe this one, and just have people start playing like they used to 2 months ago. If you don't see anyone or many people on the server, STILL log in. Just for the week. It's a big bandwagon approach and you'll be surprised how it picks back up. |

Can I make a suggestion here? You said two groups of ppl right? Well group 1 should handle odd days and group 2 even days(cause let's face it, not everyone wants to play cs every day, so this will be easier for those of us with jobs, and lives etc...) that way you'd probably get higher attendnce if nothing else. | ||

For me FTC is what got me hooked and i really do miss it but right now i just don't have time to play hardly at all until i go back to school(bout 3 weeks). Also i get real nasty laggage when i log onto the new FTC so idk what to think about that. | ||
