Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

I heard back from NFO. They actually responded multiple times Monday night (very prompt!) and we discussed some possibilities of the problem. Unfortunately NFO's support team did not find anything out of the ordinary based their system monitoring, usage statistics, etc. The output you gave me looks normal except for the severe and dip at 9:16 there (which probably looks flat just because of the averaging). On our end, I'm not seeing any corresponding CPU or bandwidth jump during that timeframe. The usual suggestion about limiting plugin bloat came up, and Mani's stats were specifically mentioned: In the past (I'm not sure if it's true of current versions) I've seen Mani reloading (and presumably re-parsing) the stats database every time someone joins the server, among other times. This can cause problems if the database is very large. If you have a small stats database, this wouldn't likely come up. I perused Mani's forums just to see there was anything I missed, but didn't turn up much. Most of what was mentioned was a few seconds of lag at round start due to stats. Considering that we reset Mani's stats every few months and don't experience significant round-start lag, I'd say this isn't our problem. Disabling Mani's stats is low risk and worth a try, though. Some more detailed monitoring was enabled, as well as an offer to move us to a different physical machine in their Chicago colocation. This is worth considering, and I assume the IP address of the machine would stay the same. If not then it's probably not worth the trouble. We have a ton of machines in Chicago with low usage, so it won't be a problem at all to move you, and I could schedule it for a low-usage time so it would not depopulate your server. There is a certain amount of risk involved in changing the machine machine on which FTC is hosted but their support team seem reliable and prompt. Perhaps it's worth a try, especially since they are offering to do it during off-hours? Please let me know what you think, thanks. |

worth a try assuming all IP is constant. If not that would be 3 moves in a month!!

So it would be moved to a co-location (Still in Chicago) and it would have the IP address? As long as it has the same IP I'm fine with it... Like Omni said, 3 IP changes in a month won't help the population problem. |

Yes, it would be moved inside of the same colo. Hopefully the new physical equipment would perform better but it's a complete crap shoot as far as I can tell. The current hardware should perform fine (based on what NFO's support says). It seems to be a change just for the sake of change but who knows--it could be a pleasant surprise. Or it may be a total baby-eating disaster. ![]() |

I wouldn't call baby eating a disaster... Not by a long shot.
