I like the way it is now with admins being the only ones who can make a vote for a non-surf map. Besides it's not like we're on non surf maps all the time, only rarely will someone start a vote for one.

No, nippers and de_dolls can only be changed when an admin does it (as previously stated), and if an admin were to change it, he'd be resonspible enough to take a server poll FIRST, and make sure others want to give it a go beforehand.

YES, those maps are not surf and more appropriately fit in with other ground based maps like Dust, or Zombie.

in Surf... we fly. there are plenty of bizarre maps in Surf, but leave the 'ground-pounders' out.

it shouldnt be unanimous because then if one person votes yes it would ruin it for everybody who voted no. it should be majority.

as long as admins are the only ones who can change it. in my time here though, I've only played once a non "surf map" but what about slide maps, those aren't "surf" those be out to?

umm canoe, don't think you understand, ftc is a whole different thing, from my understanding, when fts was first started, we had a couple custom maps. i never hear more than maybe 2 people complaining about not being a surf map. i can name pleny of other maps when more than just a few people complain about the map. adding a couple custom maps isn't taking alot away from the surf. they are rarely in the main rotation anyway.

I think that the consensus here is that ADMINS ONLY should be able to switch off of surf maps, and that no non-surf maps should be on the mapcycle, or the votemap list. I'll see that it be done. admins may still make votes for non-surf maps, but an overwhelming majority will be necessary for an admin to switch maps.

I know I'm a little late on this, but...

Personally, I'm with Ultraman.

Call me oldskewl, but I come to surf to surf. There is nothing that disgusts me more than coming in and seeing it on a map that isn't surf like nippers. The map is bad, even by non-surf means. We don't need maps like this on a surf server.
