Don't listen to japa... DK's are fun even though there is a huge amount of them.. Its a nice refresh. Something new.

I am playing on Skullcrusher alliance side. Typhenn is my 70 mage, Steelstriker is my current warrior being leveled, and my 60 DK is named Sparrkles. Im trying to get my warrior to 60 so i can level him and the DK at the same time to 70, then level all 3 toons to 80 at the same time.


You can xsfer over here if ya want.... but sometimes the load times to get into the realm are pretty bad. Not all the time though, mostly on weekend late nights.

The next patch being put out will let you create a DK on any realm as long as you have a lvl 55. So if ya didnt want to shell out $25 for a realm xsfer, you could always just wait till the patch and create a DK somewhere else.



The choice is yours. Im not going anywhere. I got RL friends on this server.... so i got guild connections when i need it. God im a loser.

Well a good guild would be what I'm eventually looking for if I decide to stick with it. Whatever the main pre-super dork raid is at the moment is what I would want to get in on (like KZ was when I left). And by pre-super dork I mean non-25-40mans because at that point it's crazy difficult to spec/gear right.


I'm sure KZ is like old hat now and people are doing "Dungeon of Yo-Mama's Vagina" runs but w/e the standard raid is is what I want to get in on.

I'll spec anyway the group needs me to. Um...

But it sounds like you guys all play separately which is kind of not what I was looking for but oh wells.

Anyone recruiting? =)

Gear is uber easy now. Most raids are 10 man. Some 25's...

DotA is the fucking game that made me want to play WoW. The fucking leveling and the fucking items and the fucking ganking... omg... I seriously hate myself right now... but whatever.

I'm checking it out tonight, my goals are as follows:

1) Get on the mage, check out the new continent, do some leveling, check out the new items. (I bet my T5 shit sucks now) This should take 1-2 days.

2) Start a DK, check out the new content, etc. This should take 1-2 days.

3) After that, I should have a good feeling for whether this is something I want to get back into or not, IF YES, then I need to find a good guild to run with. If I cannot find a good guild within my 10 day trial... I might not move forward... I dunno...

4) Level to 80 with my mage...

So who here is in the best guild that would accept a returning WoWkaholic to their midst?

Try 1-2 hours. The beginning area is fuckin cool as hell. The play-style of the DK is fun... kinda like a dark paladin. Melee everything while blasting them with spells.. cept u dont have to worry about mana.. Just have bandages ready and you never need to stop killing.


And im not in a good guild... as i have been leveling a warrior.. Started him about a week ago... played a few hours every day and now hes about to hit 31.

I didnt bother to level my mage yet... got him halfway to 71. Working on my warrior.


When we get to 80, i can get us in a good guild. If ya want to reroll a class on my server you can. I will level a class with ya until we are at the point where my warrior is and then ill switch over to him. Ill prolly level a hunter or something. Its up to you. I play whenever i can, and mostly to the wee hours in the morning. I am going to be living in my new house within the next few weeks... so i will be bored out of my mind and will need some sort of entertainment.

Just let me know. I have a vent we can use.

Lol... yea, the downloads are horridbad. But take your time.

Play on your mage a bit, get the feel again... try the death knight, do what you can.

When u want to reroll just let me know. I can get us to lvl 25 in just about 8 hours of game time if we work quick. Dont feel obligated to play constantly on your new reroll alt... whenever you want to play on your mage or DK thats fine.. i will go right back to leveling my warrior. Hell, i might even be able to get a hunter to 80 as well this way... who knows.

Ok I'm back up and running around in Northrend... lol I have no idea how to play anymore... I have too many fucking icons on my screen... and it reset all my talents... it took me 12 minutes to figure out how to get on my mount lol... and I died to the pirates in the base of the ship in the main area... lol

So I need to relook at my build... and assign some talent points... I need to get some AddOns to may my interface easier to manage... and I need to remember what the hell I was doing...

I got 22/25 quests in my log, I'm wondering if I should just abandon them... most of them are green now and I don't have any intention of going back to farm Nether-whatevers...

Poo learning curve lol...

What AddOns should I get? I got Cartographer and QuestHelper so far.

What was the add on I used to have that showed me item info... like how much it sold for and all kinds of shit about the items I saw.

I'm thinking it was Atlasloot and maybe Auctioneer? I used it when excepting quest reward items, i typically took whichever item sold for the highest amount...

Also I need some addon for managing my action bars...

The only addon i use is quest helper. Makes questing soooo much quicker and easier, and less time minimizing the game to thottbott everything.

I suggest you abandon everything in your quest log cept for the northrend quests. Oh, and dont feel bad about taking a while to figure shit out again. It took me two hours to set up my build, set up my interface, figure out where half the shit went, and about another 2 hours to get back in the mage groove in terms of killing shit and PvPing.

You wont see many partial builds anymore... mostly full anything. Like full fire, full frost, or full arcane. They added so much shit to the talent trees that you can't fill them all up anymore lol...

And about vendoring shit... The quest rewards you dont want, just pick the plate reward, and if its weapons, take the staff. Those sell the most everytime.

Someone talk to me about mage builds.

What is a good solo PVE spec? What type of damage should I be doing? (I'm critting for about 2.5k a pop right now, and can usually get 7k of dmg done before the mob attacks me, AoE is a bit of a problem) I got 8.5k health. But I mean I was struggling with some of the mobs outside of the Northrend keep.

Also wtf is up with the water elemental? it only hits for like 350 dmg... this thing is useless... why is this in my build lol?

So yes, level 75+ mages. What spec will get me through northrend, how does this differ from a raid spec, and what's my typical casting order?

Water elemental, icey veins, frost bolt, frost bolt, ice nova, frost bolt, fire blast, ice lance, cold snap if neccesary, repeat?

Im currently full fire. Frost is mana efficient, but mostly used for pvp because of the water elemental and all the freeze effects (i use fire for PvP anyways). Mana isnt much of a problem these days now that mana gems are awsome, spell costs have all been significantly reduced, and evocation is going to be on a 4 minute cooldown.

Fire is absolutely insane for burst damage, and i can almost burn down any mob before they get to me. Im not too familiar with any new cookie cutter builds yet... but i havent played my mage much lately. Like i said, tried out the death knight until lvl 60, lvld my war to 30 and now i have two lvl 6's sitting in Goldshire waiting to be lvld if you decide to reroll on my server.

Although, i will need to play on my higher lvl toons soon because im running out of money on my alts lol.. Just try out a few different specs that interest you. And also try and keep to one tree... there are a lot of great talents in each tree now..

You will not be able to answer that question unless you play that type of toon. Japa I'm looking in your direction.

What are people hitting for now? I was told people are critting for over 7k now. Is that mostly item dependent or is there a talent spec that determines this max?

Like my old spec was the 40/0/21 Arcane/Frost Crit spec. I had like a 50% chance to freeze my opponent and like a 94% chance to crit on frozen targets... I was a crit machine... add lightning capacitor and I would down mobs in seconds using nothing but a frost bolt & fire blast...

They apparently have done away with this build and I'm having trouble adjusting my play style.

Ok i figured it out... its pretty much the same but I need to add frost bite and focus magic. Other than that it's the same except now I have a stupid water elemental which is kind of nice... but needs a little more oomph to him.

I got it though I'm back in the full swing of things... I want to level the mage a bit and see if there's new shit for me.

Then I'll try a DK over the weekend.

Bad.com noskill. Level as full frost, then once you hit 80 respec 0/53/18 for raids.

Alternatively, you could do what I did an AOE grind from 77-80 (improved blizzard is win for this but skip it if you're not going to AOE).

Nazjatar is where I am now... it's EMPTY. I don't even see requests for runs in chat for spans like hours at a time.

Krem as far as I can tell is not playing.

Noskill, if you just started playing, it may take a few days for the armory to update. Your character goes in-active in the armory when u dont play for a while.


I cant transfer for a while since my main was just transfered to the current realm i am on to meet up with my RL friends. I do not mind rerolling yet again to a common realm.

EDIT: Skullcrusher was one of the original realms. Its highly highly populated... I actually just waited an hour to get into the fucking realm. 8pm - 10pm are usually the high queue times. However, it does have many many good guilds.. guilds are always advertising for people to join. There are groups going constantly... like the hard part in finding a group to join is choosing one of the many lol..

Hopefully they throw in a free realm transfer soon to cut down on the population...

Majority of the people who play range from the age 20-40. And many of them are married. Why do you think gear is so easy to get and dungeons are so easy to run now? Its because majority of the people who play can't play hardcore cuz they are older and have shit to do in RL. They play to pass some time.

So blizz made the game easier to appeal to the masses... which sux imo.

I'm leveling my Mage (72) so I can run Naxx with my guild =/. LoL I don't think I'll ever reroll something other than a mage, I tried a druid once but I'm telling you... you get so spoiled with Mages man... Conjure food & drink? Portal to wherever? 12-15k dmg before the enemy even get's near you... sheep... invisibility... I think I'll stick with this toon =)

While i agree with you there... i must say, hunters r pretty fun too. Its easy mode for leveling and shit... but its a fun playstyle. Every class has its ups and downs... but mages will always be my favorite. SO much fun. Its either burn him down or get burned down.. Thats why i play as fire. Its 100% different then frost.

Fire for the most part you play up close and personal. But with so many chances for stuns and knockbacks and so many instants, its a rush when you see big crits and rolling ignites and watching them burn burn BURN BURN BURN BABY!!!

Me and glitch rerolled on Nazjatar. We're both lvl 10 heading to Westfall, human Warrior and human Paladin.

Let us know, we could use a DPS class or maybe another hybrid heals (SINCE GLITCH IS BAD AT HEALING LAWL) druid, shaman, type dealy.

He's doing Mining & ...something.

I'm doing Enchanting & JC (I got shit loads of money on my alt (like 3700g)) So I'm not worried about mats and what not.
