Yes, that means you Ruskiy.
They can't be "cause he's laid back and cool and black". What of his POLICIES do you like?

Hes not George W Bush
Sarah Palin is not his VP candidate
He has a set timetable for an Iraq exit plan (no such pull out plan from McCain) Time to let Iraq spend their own money on their problems
Hes for alternative energy (and I swear if I hear McCain say nuclear power one more time I'll shit myself) and yes I do realize it will be about 10 years before we see any results, but then again, it will be 10 years before we see any oil from Alaska and off-shore rigs, so at least we will be taking a step in the right direction.
He can actually talk like a president (no growling noises like McCain) Image is actually pretty important to make us not look like idiots again for another 4-8 years.
His taxes are for people earning over $250,000 (fuck Joe and his made up republican buddies)
The last time a Democrat was in the whitehouse, the stock market didn't crash.
there's 7 of my reasons.
lets here your reasons for McCain and try not to make this a flame war (bandito)
Re: Supporters of Barack Obama
Zero, Fri Oct 31 2008, 04:37AM
1) The way he approaches situations. He always like to find common ground and come to a collective consensus. Consensus meaning he likes everyone to participate in anything he does and he never makes a decision by himself. he uses VERY good thought process and intelligence to not be a dumbass about shit. I have YET to see him flip-flop on any issue, and even though he is promising a lot, if he doesn't come to complete all his goals, at least by trying he has done more than bush. Obama is a VERY smooth talker, and even if it's all bullshit, he warms his audience up very well and he feeds us the bullshit a lot better than "I'm dubya and I'm staying in iraq *cheeky stupid fucking smile*"
2) I hate McCain, and when it comes to One or the Other, Obama easily gets my vote.
3) graduated income tax spreading the wealth - to some this may seem like a communistic fashion of government, but I feel that top CEOs and big corporations don't give a shit about the middle or lower class(why should they need to with all that money they can throw at people? I know I would be a dick too if I was in their shoes, but I'm not) so narrowing the gap between the upper class and everyone else I feel, will limit their power.
4) His opinions on Abortions. I'm pro-life and pro-choice, but above all I feel it is up to the woman to decide what goes on in their body, and that is their to deal with what happens with their bodies. YES, there are always stupid fucking people who just keep getting pregnat and getting abortions for the fuck of it and I feel that is WRONG. however, when someone is raped violently and ends up with a child, why is it up to her, to have her life ruined by someone like that, and THEN have to deal with motherhood which can costs thousands of dollars as a single mother.
5) Did someone say Oil? Yeah, NO THANKS MCCAIN, I'd rather we lose our independence in foreign nations and work on producing our OWN energy that replenishes itself. Wind energy, Solar energy, etc. Breakthroughs are being made and if he supports government spending on Energy issues, I would support him with my taxes. I think fixing our energy problems will help us EXPONENTIALLY in the future.
McCain is a flip-flopping whore who is stealing Obama's slogans, etc. Obama has been change SINCE HIS PRIMARY. McCain picks this bullshit up and uses it since late september? FUCK THAT. I don't agree with some things Obama believes, like what he is doing with the Stock Market, or how he may be handling the war(I want out of Iraq, just not an immediate pull - things need to be done the right way), but all in all I trust him a lot more than McFatty, and I feel he is the proper Candidate for what America needs.
Plus he was on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Therefore I ignit and vote Obama.

The New York Times recently issued an "Election Guide: Candidates on the Issues." Not everything is cited... but what IS in a newspaper. here you guys can read some of the stuff if you are confused on what platforms these Candidates have. It is easily divided so you guys can read it (Ruskiy, Obama is predominantly on the left, while McCain is on the right..... sorry... again... OBAMA ON THE LEFT, MCCAIN ON THE RIGHT*)

I don't think either of their views on this are good, Afganistan doesn't deserve us either, like Obama plans to do, but neither does Iraq.
I'm partial.
I like Mccaine because of;
1. Drilling in the US. This is SURE to lower the price dramatically.
2. His stance on gay marriage is more liberal than Obama's. At first, Obama said he supported it, then admitted that his religion influenced his ideas on it. He's for civil unions, but not gay marrige. Mccaine, on the other hand, isn't for either. He's for letting the people decide via vote, which is what's going on right now in California with Prop 8.
3. Republicans' max of a 10% consumer tax. There's no reason to inflate it beyond that.
4. I, for one, like his tax cuts to the moderately wealthy.
Obama's;
1. Abortion. He's pro choice on it.
2. I'm undecided on his health care ideas. They're nice, but not sure how it will work out, tax wise.
3. He's just a likeable guy. I also like Biden, he's funny, and they're not bad people, just their ideas don't agree with mine.
The reason I made this thread was to see if the people on here are like most of the Democrats I see. They don't know why they're supporting Obama, they just are because he's "cool", and they live in California, and the media and schools are controlled by Democrats.
I hate people like that, AKA the young Democrats club at my school which I go to to laugh at the bigot idiots who say why they love Obama. If I were to even suggest that I favor Mccaine, I'd get burned alive here in SF. Fucking hippies.

Yeah, it won't lower the price of gas substantially for a minimum of 2 years, at least...
finding other resources in a shorter ammount of time is where my head was at on the energy issues...
Re: Supporters of Barack Obama
Rusty, Fri Oct 31 2008, 05:53AM
I like obama for 1 majror issue.
Our $10 trillion debt, the one that is almost 11 trill? Well with McCain keeping taxes relatively the same as bush (which are high for a republican) there is no increase of killing our debt, at all. We need to pay for our war, I don't give two shits if you are for it or against it, you still have to pay for it, because you are an American, and your brothers and sisters are fighting for "freedoms" of others.
Obama's tax raise, especially in the 2% high income brackets wouldn't only create less space between middle and high class, but actually pay for some of this debt that we have racked up.
Also not to mention the simple things:
Education: Obama would also put more money into our schools from these raised taxes. This we won't see effects of this for about 20 years, but I can damn sure tell you in 20 years+ we'll be back on top of education, and we really need that.
Gay rights: I don't like neither of the candidates aren't for gay marriage. We have it here in Mass, and to tell you the truth, no one has died. You can now even come to Mass from out of state and marry your fagboy if you really want. No one has died, no one has suffered, and to be honest, I don't see it negatively effecting anyone on a daily basis.
Abortion: I one have seen what wonders an abortion can do for accidents and rape. I'll admit I know people who just keep getting them, and they are in the wrong, they should be more responsible, but for rape or maybe a broken condom, I don't see a problem.
Energy: I honestly don't think either of their ideas are what we need. We need to force hydrogen based cars onto the market. South California/Honda have a hydrogen car out there on the road starting either this year or next year. If I wasn't in horrible pain and tired I'd look up the real stats of the car, but I know it's good, minus because socali is the only place that has hydrogen refuel stations, you can get some good mileage. That's the new wave.
Image: If you look at it, most of the outside world likes Obama more than McCain. And like stated before me, our image is more important than you could think. The fact that people like Obama would lead to us not being so hated. I have a ton of friends who just got back from studying abroad and they all told me they pretended to be Canadian because they had seen some American's get kicked out of bars, get beat up, not really get around without getting heckled. (Mostly in Europe)
there are others, but I'm too tired to think right now, also, I don't know who I'm voting for 100%, just stating why I like Obama.

well i'm not very political but with the gas thing... the country recently had a scare of recession and what not... whatever you want to call it.. but the gas prices have gone down while this is happening.. i think this is on purpose.. the government saying shit the economies goin to shit better lower gas so there still happy..
we got enough oil in reserves to run this country (free of charge) for 50 years.. just chillin

Re: Supporters of Barack Obama
NoSkill, Fri Oct 31 2008, 03:37PM
Update: We're actually in a recession.
Obama:
Is going to fuck over small businesses big time with his zany no tax for anyone making under $150,000 plan.
Well unless you got an ingenius backup budget cut plan to go along with that, who the fuck is gonna foot that bill? You guessed it, businesses.
And with more people out of work and businesses cutting their own budgets, a tax increase for small businesses could spell certain failure for many.
Abortion? Gay rights? Iraq? Who gives a shit about any of those topics... seriously people, focus on the important things. Like the internal economic infrastructure and how to bolster it. Hell a full out war isn't a half bad idea at this point.
McCain:
Old. Seriously, this dude is going to die and Sarah Palin couldn't coach a pop warner football team.
Also if you ever compare the candidates education, McCain & Palin are like the special needs kids who wear mittens and eat paste (relatively speaking to the Harvard Law professor of 12 years and the other guy w/ his Master's)
McCain spent like a fuckin 3rd of his life in a PoW camp, a good portion of his early childhood on military bases (failing most classes) and then went to war...
What the fuck does this guy know about anything exactly? Shit I think I'm a more viable candidate for president than McCain is...
Either way, during adversity, leaders stare failure in the eye and if they fall... they fall forward.

Iraq needs help still. I don't think we should leave them in the dirt. Ya know, we've still got troops stationed all across Europe and Asia from WW2 and Vietnam, etc. There is a difference between cutting a war short and ending occupation in a timely fashion. That's my opinion. Finish what we started.

Nuclear Power is the cleanest and most efficient. That's undeniable. People are still opposed because of Chernobyl and the whole "Atom Bomb" thing. They think it would be a massive ICBM weapons depot instead of a power source.

Yes, it will be ten years before we see oil. It will be over 50 years at least before we could see an affordable, easily produced alternative that will still run in people's current car engines, lawn mowers, wood splitters, etc. Even Electric Cars run on some amount of oil. We need to change a lot of the culture of America if we are going to fit a new type of fuel in. Drilling will allow us the time to do that. It would also make it affordable over the next half-century. That's why we need to allow off-shore drilling. People with beachfront property or an obsession with sea turtles can suck my balls; I need to drive to get to work.
.4ngryToasters wrote ...

Yea, image worked really well for the Clinton and Kennedy administration. What's more important, a president with charisma, or a president who destroys his own respect in a sex scandal? I'm arguing that charisma isn't important, policies and decisiveness are important. I could give a rat's ass how bad someone looks when publicly addressing the entire 300 million population in America. Public speaking is scary, and it makes people nervous. Good for Obama for taking communication classes, though. However, keep in mind: Most of Obama's speeches are rehearsed a lot. He has a huge crew of people to help him write and practice his speeches. He doesn't speak like that on the fly, so don't expect it in an emergency.
.4ngryToasters wrote ...

Democrats run on a platform of victimization. Just look at any commercial. "John McCain voted to take away your medicine. John McCain wants to take away your right to choose. John McCain won't give you a thousand dollars if you vote for him." They create the violent division between the poor and rich. They burn and degrade the rich because they want the majority of people to like them. That's just pathetic. Taxing the wealthy, or spreading the wealth, or however you want to defend it is an idiotic idea. That's how Lenin started his campaign. That worked well, historically.
.4ngryToasters wrote ...

Well, when you massively cut military spending and raise taxes, any government can have a surplus. Clinton was running on a Reagan economy and a time of peace. Of course there weren't going to be any economic problems.

Honestly sorry for the Rage, but the fact that I'm being called a little school girl who needs to get 'her' facts straight is complete bullshit. I SHOWED where I got my fucking information and I was the ONLY one to do that. Facts? just the fact that I showed everyone that I got my shit from SOMEWHERE was more than anyone else. Tell me where you learned your shit then you have a fucking argument, but totally uncalled for to call me a fucking Little School Girl how doesn't know there facts. That's just fucked up.

Gee, I don't know. I mean, Bush was such a great president, right? I can expect good outcome from an ancestor of his too!
Right now currently in Philadelphia, the Black Panthers are rioting. Rioting? Why would they be rioting if their future president's bright future is on the horizon? Gee, I can't imagine why.

"George W. Bush and Obama, meanwhile, are 10th cousins once removed - linked through a 17th century Massachusetts couple, Samuel Hinckley and Sarah Soole, according to the Sun-Times."
I really hope you didn't base your political decisions on that...
And can you link me to these Black Panther "riots" lol? That sounds exciting.
Re: Supporters of Barack Obama
Knightrider, Wed Nov 05 2008, 02:51AM
It's on my radio station.. I live in PA, I would know.
No, I didn't base my political decisions on that. I don't support the welfare system, because I don't support paying for people who won't:
A. Get off their fat asses and get a fucking job.
B. Fucked up for themselves by failing out of high school, then never getting their GED.
C. Milk the welfare system, then sell drugs on the streets and make millions a year while people who honestly need it suffer.
I don't support socialism. People are swayed into believing he's going to pull us out of Iraq and save 10 billion per year. NOTE IDIOTS: HE'S A SOCIALIST. Whether we like it or not, he's going to still spend money in other countries.
I don't support someone who wants more government regulation in business, the first step to a COMMUNISM. FUCKING MORONS! You own a business? You want the government making financial decisions for you? You want to pay higher taxes if you make higher than 250,000 in a profit? Be my guest.
McCain has his flaws but he's not as big of a nut as this guy. And if rumors I've been hearing are true (from black people that I work with that are calling the rest of their race morons because many blacks are voting for Obama because he is black), then we most definitely are FUCKED.
People have compared Obama to Hitler. He's voted for abortion. Attributing to murders for millions and millions of infant deaths. HOW THE FUCK COULD YOU SUPPORT SOMEONE WHO IS A MASS MURDERER? People are saying he's going to organize something similar to the Gestapo. God forbid it's true, I'm fighting for my life. I will shoot every motherfucker that tries to take any ounce of my freedom away. I sure as hell will not let a left wing fucking socialist try to take my rights away from me.
I am an American. Not a slave.

-Military History
-Republican
-Against Abortion
-Not Fat
-Not Crippled
-Can not have Family Members who are Atheist or Non-Christian
-No Health Problems
-Cannot join one party than another
-Cannot raise through the ranks of the government
-Pro Iraq War
-Has to find Osama (?)
-Must have graduated high school
-Cannot be socialist
-Cannot be communist
-Cannot be Hilter
-Can't be black
Think that about covers it. Feel free to dispute it but I got all the information from your posts

You have a problem with interpretation. Like, a real bad problem.
- Our country was founded on Christian principles, not Muslim principles.
- We immigrated here, we're all immigrants. However, ILLEGAL immigrants do not count. They do not have to pay taxes like real Americans and work under the table.
- Some people do not need military experience because of what they accomplished outside of being an American hero in the military.
- I hate both of the major parties.
- I don't support murder.
- Howard Taft was 300 pounds. If he went for a physical test to join the Army today, they'd laugh at him.
- FDR was crippled, therefore he could not join the military.
- Read first line.
- Health problems attributed to the fact that some of our past presidents were unable to fight in the military.
- Where did you get that??
- ...I don't even know what to say. You are just being too laughably stupid.
- I'm against the war.
- Al Gore said that we have to get rid of Obama before he creates an uprising (Gee, look what happened after they laughed at him.)
- Necessity.
- Necessity.
- Necessity.
- Where did I express anything remotely pertaining to the fact that a president cannot be black?
I think you need to go back to High School and learn to comprehend shit, because at the moment, you are pretty damn retarded.

Rules? Such as the inalienable right to liberty right? That's a good one... even though slavery was still in full effect when the Constitution was written.
And surely you don't support slavery. Or how about the 27 changes made to the Constitution, know as Amendments, because the Constitution wasn't perfect.
So you can't take the Constitution literally...
Nor can you hide behind it when real world crisis threatens the very way of American life.
Obama was right in his acceptance speech when he stated America's most essential characteristic that will ensure our longevity and dominance as a sovereign nation.
We can change. When something isn't working, we can literally change the way the system works.
Most nations don't have that luxury, sans violent revolution.
So you can cling to your guns and hide in east-bumfuck-no-one-wants-to-live-there-anyway.
But the rest of us, who understand that "what you've done to get to where you are, isn't what you'll need to do to get to where you want to be", we're going to embrace the change and do everything
in our power to improve whatever is within our sphere of influence.
Because at the end of the day, regardless of who holds the highest seat in the land, that's all we, as individuals, can do.

Re: Supporters of Barack Obama

Oh and I know you rugged individualists love the "hey I can handle my own shit, handle yours." rhetoric, you can can it.
Because when legitimate, hard working, homeowners who borrowed against their equity in 'the pursuit of happiness' only to have the bottom fall out on them because their financiers never had the integrity to ensure proper lending practices, and you know, turn down mortgages people couldn't afford. When these families have their finances drained, their homes taken and their credit destroyed, what do you suggest they do? Just die?
So the pending government intervention that you're referring to so eloquently as 'the first step towards communism' seems like a 'neccesary action to ensure the health and well being of American citizens in crisis' to me.
But hey... cause it doesn't affect me personally that means I shouldn't care about it, right?
