So I was bored, and having never done it before, decided to try my hand at writing music. Fifteen minutes later, after having downloaded an impromptu recording software trial, I came up with this -[link]- I've never used that site to host a file before, so tell me if it doesn't work. ya, its really short and lacking right now. i have a friend/bandmate that usually writes music, but hes too metal for my taste, so i figured id try writing something more to my liking. its a first song, so i guess for that its not bad. i think i could improve it length wise pretty easily tho. sounds like a great weekend project

I'd like to hear you syncopate that song, so instead of playing on the beat, sometimes head off to keep it alive. I think it's got potential, but I just feel like it's dull at the moment. | ||

i think its a peaceful sound. Reminds me of Stairway to heaven for some reason. I think u should listen to some zeppelin, although im sure you know them very well, and try and go that route. that kind of guitar sound is something i think you would do. |

Actually, zeppelin is my favorite band of all time, bar none. I have every original LP they ever released, every DVD compilation of them, and even bought Mothership, when i already had all those songs multiple times. on a kinda pitiful note, i had over 25 people using there names on the concert lottery that i was going to buy from, but none of us got it, so i sadly missed the concert of the century

go to bonaroo. They may be playing it. The band, and the concert never announce the main special guest. And I'm hearing a lot about Zep being there. | ||

wheres that rusty? i assume its in london? i would of gotten plane tickets to the o2, but i dont i could manage it for a small gig like that. are they really playin small gigs now tho? | ||

It's not bad, conceptually. Just tune your guitar, I'm hearing semitones. And the key change in the middle doesn't make much sense, musically. Oh, and try to stay in time, your tempo fluctuates throughout the entire song. |
