So basically he's saying that RIGHT NOW our biggest threat is global warming... So we should throw all of our money at it... because if we don't, then we MIGHT end up with the world changing a hell of a lot, a lot of people dying, etc... But if we're completely wrong, then we've wasted a lot of money and time. And then what if something comes up that needs our money and attention... something that has a 100% chance of changing the world for the worse if we do not act upon it?... If we throw all of our money into saving the world from global warming, and it's true that global warming is occurring, then we've helped the problem of global warming (kept the world from killing us all), but then we're still in a fucking depression... the world is still changed massively because no one has any money... And if the US throws all of ITS money into fixing global warming, and even if we prevent it, we're fucked anally by any other country who didn't throw all their money at it who can militarily rape us... just a few hypotheticals... |
