Im gonna start ordering parts in the next 7-8 weeks. The build's total cost is around $1500. Hopefully when i buy them, the price will drop around 200-300. Ive been building budget material for a long time now cuz im cheap.. Well no more. Still not the best of the best... but its a hell of an upgrade. Right now im running 2 gigs of ddr2 800 ram, with a 7600GT, and a pentium D processor. Ok... New Setup. Case -[link]- I wanted something cool, roomy, and differet... since everyone owns an Antec 900. Mobo -[link]- Amazing Mobo for an amazing price. I can triple SLI if i wanted as well. plus many upgradeable shit. Video Card(s) -[link]- Later on thanks to some ppl in this thread  it leaves me upgrading room. I can 3-way SLI that card. SO when i get bored of one, ill buy another. When games become crazee virtual reality shit, il buy a third lol.Power Supply -[link]- Processor -[link]- Nuff said RAM -[link]- Only keeping 4gigs now, since XP lets u use only 3. I will buy another 4gig when i upgrade to Vista later on. Hard Drive -[link]- I have a 100gig now running at 7200 i believe. 150gb should be plenty... Since i dont need a lot of space. DVD Burners -[link]- Two of these babies. I have 10 year old dvd roms and CDRW burners. ANYTHING is better then them lol... So what you guy think? Will i cream when im done? P.S. I may buy a 22 inch Widescreen LCD later on... upgrading from my 19inch Wide. And right now i have a 5.1 surround sound system hooked up to my PC which i will transfer over. As well as a brand new Razor Deathadder and Razor Exactmat. Plus, im waiting for the black Saitek Eclipse2 Keyboard to come out. Edited Fri Apr 25 2008, 10:10PM |

Buy one 9800GTX rather than two 9600GTs. It's both cheaper and better (Yes, the 9800GTX beats two 9600GTs). For the PSU, I'd suggest a PC Power & Cooling or equivalent. I don't really trust Coolermaster PSUs. RAM and Mobo are fine if you aren't overclocking. If you are overclocking(and you should, because it's awesome, and not dangerous, don't listen to what those morons say), then I would go with one of the DFI DK boards and some G.SKILL sticks. swap the 9600s for dual 8800 GTS G92s or grab a 9800 GTX. For high rest the dual 8800s are better. Believe me the 9600s blow | ||

Because 1 9800GTX will give me awsome graphics for the same price as two 9600's, and then if i wanted to upgrade later on, i could just buy a second one Thats much better then scrapping two 9600"s.Thanks for the advice guys! |
