So last night me and my mom get a call from my aunt and she says she cant get a hold of my grandparents at home after leaving from there lake front property. She said that my grandparents drove back home which usually only takes 3 and a half hours max. So me and my mom drive to their house to seee it maybe they are just sleeeping or something.No, we get there and their curtains in their front window are open(They NEVER leave them open when they go to bed) So we get back home, talk to my dad and my aunt.We wait a little bit, I go out of my room to see whats up, go downstairs and my mom is helping my dad get his hunting shit.We do know they had sleeping bags and food, but god knows what could have happened...my grandpa is the one that knows the roads..what if he had a heart problem or something and my grandma got lost driving out?! So i help him pack it in his truck and hold his rifle while he puts his clothes in, then i hear the phone so i go answer that. It was my aunt and uncle coordinating with my dad.So they drive over last night, probably get there at about 11. They call US at like well..i cant remember the time, probably like 1 or 2 with no good news.I am bored just sitting in the living room talking to my sister and her friends so i come in my room and watched Zoolander. I walk out after my movie, and there is a cop in my front room talking to my mom...so im like oh....I guess that would be a guy for the search and rescue? Yes, it was, he took our information that we had down and left to hand it off to the day shift people. The search and rescue people starting looking at 7:00 this morning and its 10:08 so thats not very long but there have already been 3 people over to our house, one a firefighter, the other my uncle on the other side of the familt, and the other was my sisters "Boyfriend". So yea, the search and rescue have two teams out on the ground looking for them, and i believe a police chopper spotting from the air also. Not even my whole family knows yet...the brothers and sisters of my mom(Grandparents daughter) from Vancouver,Calgary, and South Carolina dont know, except for i told the one cousin living in ontario, that probably forgot about it..... This is all i know for now, If i hear anything, i will post and update. -Dalton |
