You people make wow addiction into a lot bigger problem then it is. I will never understand why people get addicted like that but there are not that many people. Though a video game addiction center would be funny sounds like a good money making scam...... (thinks it over a sec) Nah I would have to quit video games to make my place look legit to much annoyance. |

Believe it or not, they actually do have centers like that. -[link]- -[link]- Although it cannot be technically defined as an "addiction," since it needs to be a chemical thing, but it does tie into other addictions. Its way more complex then that. Vid Game addicts have been known to become alcohol addicts as well. Same goes with cocaine and pot. It all comes down to an addictive personality. Its genetic. Now i know some people will most def disagree with me, but i believe it is. Based on accurate studies and controlled experiments, it is said that a male, who has at least 1 parent who is addicted to alcohol, has around a 45% chance to be addicted as well. 20% if its a female. My father is a recovering alcoholic after 25 years of heavy drinking. He fears i will become the same. Granted i dont drink anywhere near as much as him, but i do find it VERY hard to put it down when i am drinking it. And i dont know when enough is enough. All i am saying is that i, by blood, have an addicting personality. Its up to me what i choose to be addicted to. It doesnt have to be anything really. But i know what makes me feel good and wat doesnt. Alcohol is amazing, but so are video games. I have been playing games for more then 17 years. Sometimes i used to spend an average of 6-8 hours a day on the PC or console playing games. It made me feel good. And i realize that the Computer in general, is what i am addicted to. Even when i am not playing games, i find it very hard to get off of the damn thing. Who knows, i really feel i jump from one to the other. If i didnt have the will power that i do, i might be somewhere else. But thats another story. |

Also anything can be a addiction not all addiction is physical some are mental. VGA is completely mental (lol vga it means video game addiction) I have had a long standing joke about me starting VGAA one day. It was one of the things from back when I did a web comic. (same with my name) Also I know what you mean by hard to put down the games I also have a addictive personality I am just to reasonable. I use logic way to much even in the middle of a fight and stuff lol. So no matter how addicted I am I will do my work and all that. Drinking is something I don't have a problem with most of it taste like shit lol  |
