ok so i was really bored today during my second hour so i tried to research ways to over clock my processor and i stumble upon this -[link]- this guy over clocked his processor to 5.1 GHz. fuckin insane! oh also if you can give me ways to over clock my amd x24200+ socket 939, i have the Zalman 92mm fan i think, that be sweet. |

im nto a fan of overclocking, because if your not a pro, and havent done it lots of times before, then u could just end up frying your whole system. I know someone who tried to overclock it and sent to much voltage to the cpu, and didnt have good cooling.... it cought fire lawls.. Burned a hole through his mobo. I was there, funny as shit... Hes got lots of money so it wasnt a problem with him... he was like "ooo look fire"... im like "IDIOT! LOL." Plus, when you overclock you shorten the lifetime of your cpu.. CPU's r made to last about 10 yrs or so...you could shorten it to like 7... OH NOES LOL. But i wouldnt recomend it. EDIT: I OC'd my vid card, and thats the reason i had to take a loooong break from CSS...lol Vid card fried because i did it wrong, which in turn fried the AGP slot, therefore killing the MoBo. Bought a new card and MB only to find out i needed a new PSU to use the mobo... then the mobo died after the first day of use.... Damn hybrids. No moneyz = no PC = no CSS... what do you mean "ways" you go in to bios, got advanced and clockspeed or what ever, it depends on your mobo. say you want to OC to um, 2.4 ghz. You would set your multiplier by something, like 12 and your fsb speed to 200mhz. then you benchmark and look at your temps at full load, if they're over 90, go down. thats like a really quick guide, I could type a bigger one up later, just ask. |

and i thought OC'ing my P4 from 3.0 to 3.6 was alot... holy shit that's crazy stuff! especially Cha's link, liquid nitrogen cooling... damn! | ||

Yeah but all those teams that overclock that much are all in Europe.... They have the access to get liquid nitro with like no problems at all. | ||
